This training is designed to cover the basic annual training that is required by statute and some new employee content as well. All employees must attend one of the three sessions that will be repeated three times during the year. The training will consist of the following.

Session 1: HIPPA, Infection Control

Session 2: Haz-Mat Awareness

Session 3: Communications, NIMS

Captains Training

These training sessions will be coordinated by the Captains over CCEMS policy, procedure, equipment (new or old) and vehicles. The content will be such that continuing education hours will be available.

Common Classes (PHTLS, ACLS, AMLS, etc)

These classes will be open to the public as well as CCEMS employees. Employees will not be charged for the class UNLESS you register for the class and do not attend. You will be charged the registration fee. Employees should not expect certification for classes that are attended while on duty. If the call volume does not remove you from class excessively (at the discretion of the Class Director) you will not have any problems. If you want to avoid this attend classes not on your shift.
